Schedule: Sunday-Thursday availability preferred

Heart Beatz Dance Academy is a premier kids dance studio serving Charleston families across Mount Pleasant, James Island, and Johns Island . Our mission is to build confidence, creativity, coordination, and joy through high-quality, age-appropriate dance education.

We are currently hiring a Preschool & Children’s Dance Instructor for our Johns Island location . This position is part-time with the strong potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Teach fun and engaging dance classes for ages 15 months–12 years (Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop)
• Support and lead our Mom’s Morning Out: Preschool of the Arts program (ages 1.5–5)
• Maintain a positive, safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Use age-appropriate classroom management and behavior guidance
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and leadership
• Prepare students for seasonal performances, recitals, and studio events
• Assist with camps, Kids Night Out, and special events as needed

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (preschool or elementary age preferred)
• Dance training and/or teaching experience preferred (we will train the right candidate!)
• Strong communication skills and dependable attendance
• High energy, patience, and a heart for working with young children
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
